I'm fundraising for Canteen supporting young people with Cancer

This year for my birthday, I felt God put something new on my heart.
I am so thankful for the undeserved blessings I get to experience by His grace. Over the past few weeks, I’ve felt a strong call to give—and through prayer, this particular organisation came quite literally knocking at my door.

I read a quote recently that said, “Health is a crown that only the sick can see.”
It reminded me to stay grounded and be grateful for the things that I often take for granted. It also made me think deeply about young people, just like me, navigating through life while dealing with something so crushing like cancer. I can’t imagine how different their lives must be—from school, to friendships, to even the simplest everyday moments.

So in obedience to Christ, this birthday, instead of a present, I’m hoping to give back. If you feel led to join me in supporting this cause, your contribution—big or small—will go a long way in showing love and hope to someone in need. 

Whether dealing with their own cancer diagnosis; that of a close member; or the death of a loved one; Canteen provides a wide range of free support services to help young people overcome the specific challenges they're dealing with when cancer comes crashing into their world.  This includes social connection events and programs, specialised counselling, 24/7 online support and access to resources and personalised support.
