Canteen's Executive Q&A with Special Guests

Join Canteen during afternoon tea or early evening, depending on where you are in Australia, to have your questions answered by our Canteen Speaker Panel, and hear more about some of the wonderful work Canteen does to support young people affected by cancer, all thanks to our generous supporters.

The first 50 people who register, will receive a free Canteen Goody Bag which will include some refreshments for you to enjoy during the event. Don't miss your chance to ask your questions directly to senior people within Canteen as well as some of the young people you support!

Meet Canteen's Speaker Panel

Peter Orchard
Cheif Executive Officer

Peter has been with Canteen since 2012 and has over 30 years of experience working with young people across homelessness, mental health, community health and cancer.

Dr Pandora Patterson
General Manager Research, Policy and Patient Programs

Pandora has 28 years of experience working clinically with young people and their families and has worked with Canteen for 12 years.

John Friedsam
General Manager Fundraising

John has focused the past 19 years of his career in the cancer charity arena, the last 8 years with Canteen. 

Sandy Cham
General Manager Services

Sandy is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar, with over 10 years of experience in clinical services specialising in young people.

Sean Dondas
Canteen Board Director

Sean is a past Canteen service user, joining back in 2008 when his mum relapsed with cervical cancer. In 2015, at the age of 22, Sean became a Canteen Board Director and has continued to serve Canteen since then. He is a passionate advocate for the work that the organisation does on behalf of young people

Stuart Tucker
Canteen Board Director

Stuart is the Chief Customer Officer at hipages Group, Australia’s number one place to hire a trusted tradesperson. With over 25 years marketing experience, Stuart has worked on some of Australia’s leading brands. Canteen joined the board in 2017.

Harry Barnetson
Canteen Youth Ambassador

Harry joined Canteen in 2014 after his Mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. He has since taken on youth leadership roles within Canteen more recently becoming a Youth Ambassador and sharing his story to increase awareness of Canteen and it's services.

Abbey Stevens
Canteen Youth Ambassador

Abbey joined Canteen after her dad sadly passed away from cancer when she was just 16. Abbey has been part of the Canteen Leadership team supporting other young people living with cancer and is now a Canteen Youth Ambassador.
