About Canteen

We get it. Just when life should be full of possibilities, cancer crashes into a young person’s world and shatters everything. Cancer pushes young people to grow up too fast and weighs them down with worries no-one should have to deal with.

Canteen is the game changer. We help young people impacted by cancer, whether they are dealing with their own diagnosis, a close family member's cancer or the death of a loved one. Through Canteen, they learn to explore and deal with their feelings about cancerconnect with other young people in the same boat and if they’ve been diagnosed themselves we also provide specialist youth-specific treatment.

By feeling understood and supported, young people develop resilience and can rebuild the foundations that crumbled beneath them when cancer turned their life upside down. That’s how Canteen is the difference.

Join us today to help raise vital funds for young people dealing with cancer.

In March 2023 Life Cycle OnRoad celebrated 24 years, bringing the donation total to 2.7 million since 1998.

Help us continue this fabulous tradition and make the 25th year our best year yet!

Each year we take up to 150 riders supported by about 50 crew. The route includes Tonkin Highway and roads paralleling the South West Highway to Pinjarra on Day 1 and Brunswick on Day 2. On day 3, three groups ride through Donnybrook and Capel, while the other two groups pass through Dardanup and Capel and then through the Tuart Forest to Busselton.

Overnight stops are at Pinjarra Football and Netball Club and the Brunswick Junction Recreation Centre.

There are 5 groups each day and you choose which one to join. You can change groups at some morning tea and lunch stops. Faster groups ride extra distance with detours towards Mandurah, to Dwellingup and through Donnybrook. The base distance is 290km and for the fastest groups 408km. Each group is escorted front and rear by Toyota Landcruiser Club of WA vehicles with lights and signs.
