I am standing up to cancer with Canteen
I, alongside 8 of my closest mates, will be participating in the 2023 Huskisson Triathlon to stand up against cancer and support Canteen. However more importantly, I'll be participating to support one of my long-time mates, Felix, who was diagnosed with a rare Sarcoma in December 2021 which spans his heart and left lung.
Felix is the definition of someone with a positive nature who lives life to the fullest. Despite the setback of cancer, Felix is putting himself up to the challenge of a full-length triathlon: 1km swim, 60km bike and 10km run. Myself and our team will be swimming, biking and running with Felix the whole way. In this, we hope to give back to Canteen who has supported Felix and countless other young Aussies.
Canteen offers support to young Aussies living with the effects of cancer, whether it is their own diagnosis, or that of a parent or sibling. An issue close to my heart, I hope to help Canteen by raising funds so they can keep giving the invaluable support Felix and so many other Aussie teens and young adults have benefitted from. Any support is greatly appreciated from our team!
