'Walk for Awareness' with Canteen
DLL are raising It to ensure young Aussies impacted by cancer still receive the support they need during this difficult and isolating time.
Canteen supports young people living with cancer, whether it is their own diagnosis, or that of a parent or sibling.
Canteen is relying on Canteen Connect the online platform for counseling and peer to peer support during this even more challenging time in a young persons world. Now more than ever they need the support of Canteen.
The event “Walk for Awareness” is part of the 2020 Community Involvement week at DLL where the theme this year is Social Justice. We have chosen to fundraise with Canteen as today’s challenging times limits us to physically connect, which has created increased strain on mental health and the importance of communities like Canteen being able to run strong and provide support. Cancer is never chosen and really crashes into a young person’s world and turns things upside down.
The walk will be performed by a volunteer group from DLL and we encourage YOU to decide the distance!. The higher donations, the longer distance:
- $0-500: 3km
- $501-1000: 6km
- $1001-2000: 9km
- $2001-3000: 12km
- $3001-4000: 15km
- $4001-5000: 18km
- $5000+: 20km
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
