Swimming for a Cause: My Journey with Canteen
Reflecting on the profound
impact Canteen has had on my life, I've decided to complete the Rottnest
Channel Swim Solo in 2024 to raise funds and awareness for this incredible
organisation!
My story with Canteen started back in 2018 following
my initial cancer diagnosis. For me, whilst treatment and recovery were one of the greatest challenges of my life, the months and years following my remission proved to be the biggest challenge of all. The services offered by Canteen in
Perth were really the first form of genuine mental health & psych support I ever received... without this initial support I truly don't know where I would be
today.
