I am standing up to cancer with Canteen

This year marks a decade since I lost my father to cancer. That's ten birthdays celebrated without him, ten Christmases spent missing his presence, and countless milestones navigated alone. From high school to university graduations, to learning to drive, there's a void where his guidance and love should have been.

But amidst the grief and longing, I found guidance and support through Canteen. Since joining in 2012, I've forged invaluable connections that have helped shape me into the determined, enthusiastic, and young leader I am today.

As a way of saying thank you to Canteen for its unwavering support, I am Raising It and chopping my long luscious hair to ensure other young Aussies impacted by cancer still receive the support they need during this difficult and isolating time.

Canteen supports young people living with cancer, whether it is their own diagnosis, or that of a parent or sibling.

Canteen is once again heavily relying on Canteen Connect the online platform for counselling and peer to peer support during this even more challenging time in a young persons world. Now more than ever they need the support of Canteen.
