Thank you to everyone who has supported Canteen’s Double Day! Your generosity means the world to us.
Because of you, young people facing cancer aren’t walking that journey alone. They have someone to talk to, someone in their corner, and practical tools to help them cope.
Your kindness will help us provide more than 950 urgently need counselling sessions for teenagers who’ve just received life-changing news, a cancer diagnosis - either their own or that of someone they love.
Your donation will help young people, like Abbey and Saskia, access the support they need, giving them strength, hope and a community who understands them. You were in their corner during their greatest time of need.
From all of us at Canteen, and the young people you’re helping - thank you. You are making a difference.
Donations are no longer being doubled but any support you choose to give today can still help teens access the counselling they need in order to face cancer. Thank you.

Why your donation matters
When cancer enters a young person’s life, it changes everything. Your donation today will directly fund specialised counselling services that help teenagers cope with the emotional toll of cancer.
Canteen counselling services are confidential and completely free. Our counsellors and psychologists are specially trained to understand the challenges cancer brings so teenagers can talk to them about thoughts or feelings that they may find hard sharing with others. They also help develop strategies to deal with the impact cancer is having on their life – and just listen.
Donate now to help twice as many teenagers get the counselling they urgently need to face cancer.

Your kindness helps people like Saskia get her life back
Saskia was just 17 when she was diagnosed with a rare form of oral cancer, an experience that left her facing surgeries, the loss of her ability to eat and speak normally, and profound isolation. Friends drifted away, her confidence dropped, and Saskia didn’t believe she deserved help because she didn’t "look" like a typical cancer patient.
Her mother encouraged her to reach out to Canteen. Through one-on-one counselling, Saskia was able to untangle complex emotions of anger, guilt, and grief, and Canteen helped her realise that her experience was valid and deserving of support.
Canteen became a turning point in Saskia’s recovery, offering her not only counselling, but community and hope. With Canteen’s support, Saskia found the courage to return to university to study nursing, determined to help others. While her healing journey continues, Saskia says Canteen gave her back her spark, her voice, and her belief in a life beyond cancer.

Give today to support young people like Abbey access vital counselling support when cancer crashes into their lives.
