Stand up to cancer with Canteen
Running and walking events have all been cancelled or postponed so why not take on your own personal virtual challenge? Dare yourself to cycle, walk, run, skip, or hop 10kms, 20kms or even 30,000kms, connect your fitness tracker and log your progress online while getting others to support you - they might even want to join you on the challenge.
Maybe it's that mid-morning coffee you'd nip out of the office to get every morning, or the sugary snack you'd have with your afternoon tea. Or could you quit Netflix for a whole month?! 'Quit It' - and ask people to support you at the same time.
Shave or dye your hair, host your own birthday fundraiser or virtual morning tea. Stream your favourite gaming session - anything goes! For more fabulous fundraising ideas or to join a Canteen event click here!
Not into setting up a personal challenge? You can ensure young Aussies living with cancer get the support they need and together we can stand up to cancer by donating to today.
Please donate and help make a long-term difference to the young Aussies living with cancer.
Life doesn't just go back to normal for young people living with cancer.
When COVID-19 struck, we had a 43% rise in registrations and double the number of logins to Canteen Connect!
In order to reduce the risk of infection for families who are already dealing with the immense challenges of cancer, Canteen will be delivering it's services a little differently for the foreseeable future
- postponed all face to face programs and events and instead are running additional online and video link events
- all our individual support and counselling services taking place online, via video link, email or by phone.
How can you help?
Young Aussies living with cancer need your help, now more than ever.
It’s only through the generosity of our supporters like you that Canteen Connect – our free 24/7 online platform – can continue being the go-to safe online space for young people aged 12-25 who are impacted by cancer.
With the influx of registrations and logins to Canteen Connect comes an increase in requests for online, email and phone counselling, special online events to reduce social isolation, and deep dives into our information and resources on new ways to build coping skills and resilience during this tough period, which isn’t over for our young people.
So in times where social distancing is still so important, why not set yourself a new personal challenge and fundraise to support our young people impacted by cancer?
Choose to 'Move It', 'Quit It' or 'Raise It' for Canteen now and take action for someone else who might not be able to.
