United We Fight It

We're fundraising for...

United We Fight It

We are shaving/ colouring and cutting our hair to ensure young Aussies impacted by cancer still receive the support they need during this difficult and isolating time.

We will be doing this for a fellow member of the Goodstart community. Tamara our cook's husband, Darren has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Neuroendocrine being 1 in 1 million in Australia to be diagnosed with this form of cancer. We are fundraising in his name and would like to spread the awareness of multiple cancers and fundraise for more than one foundation. Childrens related cancers included!

For over a month we have been planning fundraising activities. Eight members of the team are going to drastically dye their hair, a fellow member of the community will be cutting her hair short and donating it to make wigs for children fighting cancer, and Gabe is going to shave his all off as well as his beard!

Canteen supports young people living with cancer, whether it is there own diagnosis, or that of a parent or sibling.

Canteen is relying on Canteen Connect the online platform for counseling and peer to peer support during this even more challenging time in a young persons world. Now more than ever they need the support of Canteen.

Please help us help them, by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about Canteen, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
