2019 in Melbourne - the end!
when everything hurts....
On April 3rd 2020, I’ll again be taking part in a 7 day bike ride from Adelaide to Melbourne - Road Raise 2020! This cycling event raises vital funds and awareness for Canteen who support young people (12 - 25 years) when a cancer diagnosis comes crashing into their world.
The work of Canteen is inspirational and maybe the thought of me riding hundreds of kilometres daily with just a piece of chamois and a very thin saddle between my butt and the road may also inspire you to support their work.
My personal experience with cancer wasn’t with young people, but it did affect the young people around me.
Canteen supports young people with their own diagnosis, or a diagnosis within their immediate family and so I will be riding in memory of my children’s grandparents, Margery and John Erwin, my son's godmother Sally Giles and my friends Rosie and Frankie.
Myself and 20 other like-minded individuals aim to raise a combined $300,000, which will fund around 5,000 hours of support for young people who really need it.
Please help me help them, by giving whatever you can via this link - or even just a few words of encouragement - every bit helps!
The more people know about Canteen, the greater their impact so please spread the word by sharing this donation link with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
