About Canteen

We get it. Just when life should be full of possibilities, cancer crashes into a young person’s world and shatters everything. Cancer pushes young people back in to the nest, makes them grow up too fast and weighs them down with worries they’re not supposed to have yet.

Canteen is the game changer. We help young people cope with cancer in their family. Through Canteen, they learn to explore and deal with their feelings about cancerconnect with other young people in the same boat and if they’ve been diagnosed themselves we also provide specialist youth-specific treatment.

By feeling understood and supported, young people develop resilience and can rebuild the foundations that crumbled beneath them when cancer turned their life upside down. That’s how Canteen is the difference.

Join us today to help raise vital funds for young people dealing with cancer.

In March 2020 Life Cycle OnRoad celebrated 22 years and $2 million for Canteen.

Help us continue this fabulous tradition and make this year our best year yet!

Life Cycle OnRoad 2021 will see around 150 riders of varied abilities cycle from Bassendean to Busselton over three days to raise vital funds and support for young people dealing with cancer in their lives. The route includes Tonkin Highway and roads paralleling the South West Highway to Pinjarra on Day 1 and Brunswick on Day 2. On day 3, three groups ride through Donnybrook and Capel, while the other two groups pass through Dardanup and Capel and then through the Tuart Forest to Busselton.

By joining our team, your fundraising contributions ensure that no young person has to face cancer alone.
